In the spirit of relocalization here is a list of services and products that are available within our neighborhood boundary.

Boulder: one of 11 top cycling cities in the world

Virgin Vacations lists Boulder as one of the 11 Most Bike Friendly Cities in the World. How cool is that? I already knew that the bike commuting opportunities and infrastructure in Boulder were top-class... to the point that I have a better sense of getting around Boulder on my bike than in the family car.

Another great reason to live in Martin Acres is the easy access to the Boulder Bike Path network. See a limited Google Map of the bike network here. It is complete for Martin Acres, but not so complete for areas further away.

Lighten the MA Mail Carriers Load

Catalog Choice is offering a service aimed at reducing the number of unsolicited catalogs delivered to our mail boxes. I only saw the link today but plan to try it out soon. I am amazed at how many catalogs are passing through our household this year. I would be interested to hear from anyone who has used this service or anyone that has found other effective ways to reduce the flow of unsolicited paper into our homes.
